The Doggy Diaries

Hi everyone! If you follow our Instagram account you’ll know it was our one year anniversary this week. It’s been a crazy journey full of tears, laughs and a heck of a lot of challenges. All week I’ve been thinking about all the experiences we’ve had so far in our journey and I thought I’d share them with you all. Dog owners love hearing stories of other dogs, am I right?!

As you can imagine we’ve had some hilarious times. Like the first time I tried treat bobbing with Clyde. If anyone remembers, Clyde is a Romanian rescue dog that boarded with me in April. When the clever little fella

that water isn’t solid he stuck his head right in! Shock was written all over his face at the water all over his face. After that he was straight in, “give me all the food!” Lottie who boarded at the same time as Clyde had a similar incident with our pond...

I bet you can see where this is going! One minute she was having a sniff of the edge, the next minute I look up and she was gone. Never take your eyes off your four legged friend for a second! I ran over and a very soggy Labrador puppy emerged out of the water and proceeded to give me a very wet hug. I can’t say it was my favourite hug of all time, Lottie.

There was the building of my office! My Dad and I built a traditional gypsy wagon to serve as my office. To be honest, we finished it in November so it wasn’t my favourite place to spend my time. The dogs love it though. With the door opens they can come and go as they please into the garden to run and to play. I however sit huddled round a cup of tea, in a blanket and freezing. So I always get distracted and play with the doggies! That is my job though, right? This summer I’m so excited to get back in there and really enjoy it with the dogs who are having holidays with us and let me tell you, there are a lot. Bring on summer!

We’ve also had some sad times and had to say goodbye to two of our favourite little men. Ziggy and Dexter passed in November of last year which was very emotional for their families and us as well. Not to mention their friends who missed them on their adventures. We still miss them every day!

There are so many stories that I can share with all of you and I would love to know if you’d like to hear some more doggy diaries. Let me know in the comments below if you’d love to hear more!

Until next time, keep those tails wagging!
